Our History
For years, the Oswego, IL, soccer program — founded in 2019 by passionate and dedicated coach Christian Cedillo Cornejo — built its reputation as Lions FC: a strong, inclusive, and supportive community where young players from the 2011–2020 birth years grew their skills and their love for the game.
In 2026, that legacy took on a new name. Goats United FC was born — the same coaches, the same families, the same commitment, now united under a new identity. The club fields four competitive teams of boys and girls, and the mission remains unchanged: develop individual skills, foster teamwork, and grow players who give their best on and off the field, under the guidance of Coach Christian.

With a deep passion for the game and a commitment to player development, Coach Christian brings several years of experience in coaching youth and competitive soccer. Focused on fostering technical skills, tactical understanding, and sportsmanship, he creates an environment where athletes thrive both on and off the field.
